Surfy.life is a modern surf forecasting platform designed to provide personalized wave and weather reports for surfers. Unlike traditional forecasting sites that issue basic, blanket forecasts for a surf spot, Surfy Life learns what you like through your preferences and feedback. Surfy Life is a Zazen Labs project.

Surf Life aggregates data from major meteorological sources—including NOAA, Open Meteo, and the German Weather Service (DWD)—to provide hyper-local conditions. The app uses a proprietary metric called a "Stoke" score (e.g., 4.1 or 5.0). It's an at-a-glance rating that combines wave height, wind speed, and period to tell you how good the conditions are likely to be at a specific break.

It highlights popular breaks such as: Steamer Lane, Pleasure Point, The Hook, Cowell's, Ocean Beach, Mavericks, Morro Rock, Pismo Beach, Carmel, Rockaway Beach 92nd, Montauk Point, Virginia Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Cocoa, Jupiter and more.

Surfy Life "learns what you like." By signing up, users can set preferences for their favorite spots, and the system provides "intelligent, personalized surf predictions" to help time sessions when conditions align with your specific riding style or skill level.

But probably the most unique feature is the Calendar view and the ability to integrate your favorite spot surf forecasts with your calendar, like iCal and Google Calendar. 

Instead of traditional passwords, the site uses "Magic Links" sent via email for secure, one-click login. The design is focused on elegant charts and removing the "guesswork" often found in more technical maritime forecasts.
